Knitting Wednesday

If it’s Wednesday, it must be knitting day. Once again our group met at lunch to knit and chat. Today we had four knitters (including me). Deb T worked on her ever-growing afghan. She’s only got one more skein to go and she’ll be finished. It’s beautiful! Well-done Deb. Virginia is working on the second half of her purse. Before you know it, she’ll be working on the handle. She’s really learning fast. Marva and I both worked on our circular socks. Marva started on the heels of hers and I started the toes on mine. I needed Marva to read me the pattern while I knitted so I could ensure I got it right. The last time I knitted socks I really didn’t like the way the toes were finished. This time should be better. Photos to come (I hope).

Tomorrow Tom’s going to take my Miata to the dealer. It’s time for an oil change and I intended to make an appointment, just wasn’t sure when, but this morning made up my mind for me. When I left for work, I had some of the warning lights come on. The passenger air bag and DSC light flashed off and on. The driver’s side seat belt light stayed on even though the belt was fastened. I also have been hearing a rattle behind the seats that’s driving me nuts. Seems like a good time to make an appointment to the oil changed and have these issues checked. Since it’s hard for me to take time off Tom “volunteered” to take the car in for me. Of course, it’s possible there’s nothing wrong as Tom’s been searching the web about the warning lights, and it’s possible that I caused the problem by putting my bags on the passenger seat (not sure how that could happen). Anyway, Tom’s used the car as an excuse to take the day off.

I’m still learning how to use my new laptop. This VISTA and Internet explorer are different than what I previously used. I know it will be fine once I get the hang of it, but for now it’s really slow learning. But I do love the new computer. It’s a beauty and so fast!
Keep on knitting.
