You know you knit too much when...

Man (who always picks up the mail) to Post Office Clerk: “Here to pick up another package”.
Post Office Clerk to Man: “Only 2 packages today. Don’t mind pulling your packages, they are always light and sometimes Squishy,"
Man to Post Office Clerk: “Wife’s packages.”
Post Office Clerk to Man: “Is she running a business?” (Which isn’t allowed using APO address).
Man to Post Office Clerk: “Nope, she’s just addicted to yarn.”
Post Office Clerk handed Man the packages with a questionable smile.
Man to Post Office Clerk: “Wife’s a knitter.”
Man walks away while Post Office Clerk looks completely puzzled.
Man smiles as he knows this story will be a hit with his wife.

Has spring arrived?

We’ve gone almost a week without snow, and today we had sunshine. The grass is no longer covered with that dreaded white stuff. So has spring arrived in Germany, or is this just a teaser and winter will make a return appearance?

Anyone for a "Spot of tea"?

Yesterday we went to visit Tom’s Aunt Mickey. First visit since Uncle Joe died. It was hard for Tom and Mickey to talk about Uncle Joe, but by the end of the visit, they were both smiling. I talked them into walking into town so I could visit the yarn shop. Yeah, I know, I’m selfish, but I wanted to get them out of the apartment and the yarn shop was just down the road.  Click here to see photos of the visit.

I got some nice yarn, including some silk and linen blend. Tom even carried the package. On the way back to the apartment, Tom and Mickey stopped to get some sandwiches. The shop was small, so I stayed outside and did a little window shopping. I spotted a tea pot and cups that just called my name. When Tom and Mickey caught up with me, I mentioned to Tom that I really liked the tea pot.

We went inside and I got the tea pot, two matching cups, a tea leaf filter, and some leaf tea. I haven’t used it yet. It’s almost too pretty to use. What do you think?
