Just a few photos of signs taken on last weekends trip.
The first sign makes me wonder. Does this mean no mothers and kids?

Weekend Road Trip to Munich
Check out more photos on my Flickr site.
The road trip started on Saturday (6am) and ended Sunday (3pm). My travel companions consisted of a co-worker (MB), her husband (MR), another co-worker (D), her husband (K), their toddler (J) and their 16 year old son (T), also with us was our co-worker and driver (G). What a trip we had! I was worried about the baby, but she was the best behaved baby I’ve ever seen. She spent a lot of time in the car seat and in a stroller, but she never cried and was always laughing and giggling. She’s the baby everyone wants.
We arrived in Munich about 11am. Although we had been told we could enter the exhibit whenever we arrived, we had to wait. We got in around 1130. The King Tut exhibit was worth the car ride and the wait. I really enjoyed it. The only problem was that it was very crowded and it was too warm in the museum. Photos on my flickr.
When we left the museum, it was decided that lunch in Munich city center was the next order of business. So off we went through the park to catch a train into the city center. Our path took us through the park, where they just so happened to have a fair going on, “Summerfest in the park”. The candy apples and popcorn was very tempting, but I resisted. I intended to have a good German lunch, and didn’t want to fill up on junk.
We took the underground train. My very first “subway” ride. It was a real experience. The train was on time, clean and fast. Again the only problem was that it was too warm.
Did I mention that the Germans do not use Air conditioning? That’s why I mention it being warm.
Munich is beautiful. We had a great lunch and time to walk around and see the sites. I hope to go back there before we leave Germany.
I really enjoyed the road trip even though it was one of the hottest days so far in Germany. We must have walked a hundred miles (I know that’s an exaggeration, but we really did walk for miles). My feet still hurt.
