Our internet access at the RV park isn't strong, so not sure if I'll be able to post this with photos or not, but I'll try.
Hope you can read "KD's Farewell" the girsl in the office wrote it. Made me cry.
Yesterday was my last day at work (until we get to Germany and I find another job). My co-workers brought in breakfast, with my favorite sausage gravy. What a treat! I also got some great gifts, including cash to spend at the casino. Thanks Girls! We also had cake and punch in the afternoon. Lots of people stopped by to visit. My old boss, Dave showed up as well as some co workers I haven't seen in forever. Lots of memories: Visits to Mexico (kh reminded me about getting stuck on the internation bridge for hours), road trips around San Antonio, casino trips etc.
It was hard to say good-bye to the people I've worked with for almost 7 years. It was really hard to say good bye to some good friends. I know I'll miss them all.
Most of all I'll miss my best friend, C. She's been my rock here in Texas. She stood by me when my dad died, when I had health problems and especially when I was a really rotten brat. I'll never be able to thank her enough. She's promised to visit me in Germany, and she'd better.

And the move goes on
This might be my last post for awhile. Monday and Tuesday the entire house will be packed and shipped to Germany. We are moving into the camper (30 ft travel trailer). I have 2 more days of work, but "Poor" Tom has to work to the end of the week. On Saturday we start our drive to Jacksonville Fl, with a stop in Kinder Lousianna to visit my favorite casino.
I had forgotten how much work moving is. Tom of course is freeking out. In our other moves I took care of almost everything. This time he's having to deal with it. Not something he enjoys.
With luck, we'll have internet access at the campgrounds, so I hope to be able to keep in touch with everyone.
Take care and keep on knitting, kd
