OK, I’ve stopped my temper tantrum over the LOYS.

It’s too small and I’ve accepted that. I have to look on the good side; I didn’t do the sleeves first. So it looks like I’ll finish the sweater (at a later date) and give it away. Something I discovered in trying to take a photo of me wearing the sleeveless sweater is that the flash is sure bright when you face it into a mirror (even one that needs cleaning).

The last few days have been cold and wet here in SA. We’ve even used the fireplace. It looks like winter has hit south Texas. Tom put in a fire with “real” wood. It sure looked nice.

After my disaster with the LOYS, I wasn’t sure I wanted to start anything else right away. So I just looked around for something easy to do (that I couldn’t totally screw up). I looked through my book collection and found my Elizabeth Zimmermann books. I decided to do the Rib Warmer vest from “knitting workshop”. Started it yesterday and have almost finished it. It looks good, but next time I’ll use a smaller needle size, as the stitches seem a little loose. I did get gauge this time so maybe that’s the way it’s suppose to be.
If Missy and Trina are reading this, YOU ARE GROUNDED!!!! I haven’t received photos of the grandkids in days. Trina, you are only behind a week. Missy, you are so grounded. It’s been over a month!
