Well, it's almost my birthday (23 Aug), but I'm already celebrating. I have a new laptop, new scrapbook software, and we are leaving 21 Aug to go camping at the Grand Casino Coushatta. Camping our style
Be back next week. Yes, I'm taking my knitting. EZ Suprise Baby Jacket is waiting to be cast on. I'm using Snuggly DK in various pastel shades. I seem to have lots of that. I love knitting EZ SBJ. See you next week.

Life's too short....
Life’s too short to bitch at your knitting. After all there are so many other things to bitch about and knitting is relaxing, right? It’s not the knits fault I goofed. I spent weeks knitting the socks on circular needles. I thought I had “gauge” but in checking (after I finished) I found that I was off. Not by much, but still off. The socks are a little bigger than I intended. It’s still OK, as they should fit someone on my Christmas list. No I’m not saying who, as “she” might read this blog.
The socks are really soft and I like the pattern. I may knit them again, but not soon, as I really need to get moving on other gifts.
Gad, I married a Nerd!
Tom's sister sent me a photo she found of Tom. That started me looking at old photos. I realized I married a nerd, but a very cute one. It's hard to believe we've been married 34 years already. So I though I'd share some photos.
The first one is Tom in High School. Then one taken while he was in the Navy and the last is one taken in Cuba in 1994.

You figure it out!
In order for me to get the photos Mike (brother in law) sent, I had to upload them to my flickr account. Then I downloaded them into the photo album. Seems like the long way around, but it worked. I've completed about 20 pages of the album and have at least 3 more to go.
On the knitting front: I've finished the circular socks. They didn't turn out half bad if I say so myself. They have been blocked and once they dry, I'll take a photo to share.
Now I have to figure out my next project. I need to work on Christmas knitting, but where do I start? I have a vest, 5 hats and scrafts and at least 2 sweaters to complete between now and Dec 25. Guess I need to get off the computer and knit.
Keep on knitting

Computer crazy
This new laptop is driving me nuts. I've spent most of the day working on a Memory Scrapbook (multi pages). Tom got me a great scrapbook program and I love it. The photos I took go into the scrapbook page without a problem, but my brother in law sent me some and they just won't work. All the photos are jpg and should work. The photos open in my old scrapbook program, and I can pull them up in other programs, but they just won't go into the new program. How frustrating! The photos will upload into my blog but not into Scrapbook Factory program. There's got to be a problem somewhere. I'll figure it out if it takes all night.
