I've been knitting

This morning I started knitting a toddler’s sweater. The back is complete. I’m knitting both fronts at the same time and I’m about half way on both. The yarn is Baby Soft by Lion Brand yarn and it’s working out great. The pattern is a raglan sleeve basic sweater in size one.

I’m doing the basket-weave stitch. I’m not sure if I’ll put a collar on it or just do a rib around the top. The button band is going to be a simple rib (I think).

Also I finished the baby feet washcloth for another co-workers new grandson. Once it’s blocked, I take a photo to share. It turned out smaller than I though it would be, but it is for a baby so it won’t be too small.

Yesterday I designed a shawl for my good friend, Cathy’s mother. Since I want this to be a special shawl, I wanted to use a special yarn. In checking with my local yarn shops I found that they didn’t have the yarn and/or color in stock. I could order this yarn from the internet, but I’m one of those that has to touch the yarn before I buy it. So sometime this week, I’ll have to make a trip to a local craft shop and see what they have that will fit the pattern I’ve got in my head to knit. Maybe Cathy will need to go with me to select the yarn.
Later this week, I’ll take photos of my knitting group to share. Keep on knitting
