Just a little knitting

Yes, I have been knitting. In the basket you can see a partially finished baby sweater. It’s blue and white. I’ve finished the back and 1 front side and the second front side is about half way finished. Still have the raglan sleeves, button bands and collar to complete. Also intend to make a hat to match.

I just started a scarf for one of my new co-workers. She just accepted a job at AFPC, Randolph and expects to be leaving here the 1st of June. The scarf is in fine (thin) very light blue yarn. This should be a great scarf for the weather in Texas. The pattern is one I read about somewhere. Oh so easy!
I used thin yarn and size 5.5mm needles, but this would look great in any weight yarn. Just use needles that will make it look lacy. Also adjust the number of stitches you cast on for the weight of the yarn and size of the needles. Just use multibles of 3. That will ensure the pattern ends correctly on the row.
Using the thin yarn this is the pattern I used.
Cast on 30
Starter row: Knit across
1st pattern row: slip first stitch, then (YO, Knit 2 together, Knit 1). Repeat (…) across to last 2 stitches. YO and knit the last 2 stitches together.
That’s it. Turn and repeat the pattern until the scarf is as long as you want it to be.
Bind off loosely, then wash and block (depending on the yarn you use).

You do realize I'm still pouting about my sweater! :(
